This Technical Regulation defines the necessary requirements for food products in terms of their labeling and aims at prevention of the actions misleading the consumers regarding providing consumers’ rights for verifiable information about food products.

PRODUCTS TO BE CERTIFIED IN ACCORDANCE WITH TR CU 022/2011:
Labeling of food products released in circulation at the unified customs territory of the Customs Union
TR CU 022 DOES NOT APPLY TO:
Food products produced by public catering enterprises in the process of providing services in public catering for consumption at the production location, and also to food products, production of which is carried out by natural persons in personal subsidiary plots for purposes other than entrepreneurial activity
APPROVAL FORMS:
TR CU 022/2011 assumes one approval form:
- THE DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY (DoC).
WHO CAN APPLY?
The foreign manufacturer can apply for certification only through the Customs union residential company. It means that a Russian, Kazakh or other CU country’s company should bear responsibility for the products quality on the base of Local representative agreement. It can be the importer, distributor of the product or any other company located in the CU that will agree to act as a Local Representative.
POSSIBLE APLIED VALIDITY
The maximum applied validity of the DoC is 5 years.
TIMING
The process lasts from 1 week to 1 month depending on certification scheme.
