This Technical Regulation defines the necessary requirements for food and aims at safety of life or health of citizens, protection of environment, and at prevention of the actions misleading the consumers.

PRODUCTS TO BE CERTIFIED IN ACCORDANCE WITH TR EAEU 021/2011:
Food products;
Processes of manufacturing, storage, transporting, releasing and utilizing of food related to requirements for food products.
TR EAEU 021 DOES NOT APPLY TO:
Food products produced by the citizens at home, in private farms or citizens involved in gardening, horticulture, animal husbandry, and the processes of production (manufacturing), storage, transportation (transportation) and disposal of food products intended only for personal use and not intended for release into circulation in the customs territory of the Customs Union, the cultivation of crops and productive animals in the wild.
APPROVAL FORMS:
TR EAEU 021/2011 assumes four approval forms:
- THE DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY
- STATE REGISTRATION OF SPECIALIZED FOOD
- STATE REGISTRATION OF "NEW TYPE FOOD"
- VETERINARY-SANITARY INSPECTION
WHO CAN APPLY?
The foreign manufacturer can apply for certification only through the Customs union residential company. It means that a Russian, Kazakh or other CU country’s company should bear responsibility for the products quality on the base of Local representative agreement. It can be the importer, distributor of the product or any other company located in the CU that will agree to act as a Local Representative.
POSSIBLE APLIED VALIDITY
The maximum applied validity of the declaration of conformity is 5 years. The State Registration Certificate (SRC) has unlimited validity.
TIMING
The process lasts from 1 week to 4 month depending on required approval form.
