This Technical Regulation defines the necessary requirements for small size vessels, rescue items and (or) small size vessels equipment and aims at safety of life or health of citizens, property, protection of environment, and at prevention of the actions misleading the consumers.

PRODUCTS TO BE CERTIFIED IN ACCORDANCE WITH TR CU 026/2012
Small size vessels;
Small size vessels equipment:
- Fireproof equipment for engines embedded in the frame, and for aftermost near-water engines;
- External engines equipment protecting from launching when the clutch is on;
- Steering wheels, control mechanisms and cable assemblies;
- Fuel tanks and hoses;
- Manufacturer’s scuttlers and glass ports;
Rescue equipment:
- Lifejackets;
- Liferings;
- Life-saving floats.
TR CU 026 DOES NOT APPLY TO:
- Rescue and patronizing boats for sea and river vessels;
- Sports vessels designed exclusively for racing including rowing racing and training vessels claimed as such by the manufacturer;
- Sailboards, inflatable balloons and other water attractions;
- Surfing equipment with an engine and other similar equipment with an engine;
- Experimental small size vessels;
- Aircushion and hydrofoil vessels;
- Leisure submarines;
- Small size vessels with the mass up to 100 kg inclusively;
APPROVAL FORMS
TR CU 026/2012 assumes two approval forms:
- THE CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMITY
- SMALL SIZE VESSEL CLASSIFICATION CERTIFICATE
WHO CAN APPLY?
The foreign manufacturer can apply for certification only through the Customs union residential company. It means that a Russian, Kazakh or other CU country’s company should bear responsibility for the products quality on the base of Local representative agreement. It can be the importer, distributor of the product or any other company located in the CU that will agree to act as a Local Representative.
POSSIBLE APLIED VALIDITY
The CoC / SSVCC can be issued for a batch (one consignment) or for serially produced products. The maximum applied validity of the approval document is 5 years (for serially produced products) or not defined (for a batch).
TIMING
The process lasts from 1 month depending on certification scheme.
SPECIAL MARK
After the certification process is completed the product should be marked as the following:
