What are the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union (TR CU) for?

Technical Regulations of the Customs Union Technical Regulations (TR CU or TR EAEU) are a set of rules and regulations within the system of technical regulation that define the key safety criteria and methods of supervision over products or equipment put into circulation. The Technical Regulations adopted today and replacing the domestic GOST standards apply equally on the territory of all countries of the Customs Union (Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan).

The Technical Regulations of the Customs Union provide for two forms of confirmation:

The form of confirmation depends on the type of product and on the certification system that the manufacturer chooses.

After receiving one of these documents, the manufacturer can apply the EAC marking to its product, which guarantees successful import of the product into the territory of the Customs Union countries.

The List of Technical Regulations of the Customs Union includes more than 40 TR CU, which can be divided by industry:

  • hazardous and other industrial equipment and products,
  • electronic devices,
  • means of transportation,
  • chemical industry products,
  • textile and consumer goods industry products,
  • cosmetics,
  • food industry products,
  • miscellaneous
