What is EAC certificate?
EAC mark is your access to the Customs Union that currently consists of the following countries: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.
EAC certification exists in two forms – Declaration of Conformity and Certificate of Conformity and it shows that your equipment and products are in compliance with the technical regulations established in Russia and other 4 countries of the CU.
Why EAC Certification is important?
EAC certification is required for both sales and customs clearance purposes. It means that if your company is intended to sell in Russia and CU countries, EAC mark is essential and cannot be avoided. Customs clearance cannot be passed without showing a valid EAC DoC or CoC. All devices that have been certified in accordance with EAC, should be marked with EAC sign.
How we determine which form of certification is required – DoC or CoC?
The need of DoC or CoC is determined by a certification authority, and such factors as technical data and HS code assigned to a device are very important since the decision is made based on them.
How long is EAC certification valid?
EAC certification can be issued for serial production, it means for 1, 3 or 5 years and should be prolonged once expires or batch production, it means for a single batch of products you are delivering now upon a contract with a Russian customer. The decision is up to you.
