Specifics of certification of equipment for food, meat and dairy and fish products
Quality assessment of equipment for food, meat and dairy and fish products is generally made in accordance with TR CU 010/2011 Safety of Machinery and Equipment.
This applies to regulation of sales, certification, and production of industrial equipment.
Low-voltage equipment is also subject to TR CU 004/2011 (Safety of Low-Voltage Equipment) and 020/2011 (Electromagnetic Compatibility of Equipment).
Equipment for food, meat and dairy and fish products is declared according to one of the systems specified in TR CU 010/2011. The applicant chooses a specific system, taking into account the production specifics.

Documents for issuance of EAC declaration of conformity for equipment for food, meat and dairy and fish products
It is required to submit the following when submitting documents for issuance of EAC declaration of conformity under TR CU Safety of Machinery and Equipment:
- technical description of the product (image, technical data)
When issuing for a batch:
- registration documents (INN (taxpayer identification number) certificates, OGRN (primary state registration number), statistics codes);
- supply contract or foreign manufacturer contract; invoice;
- quality certificate from the manufacturer (if available)
When issued for a manufacturer:
- registration documents (INN (taxpayer identification number) certificates,
- OGRN (primary state registration number), statistics codes);
Validity period of EAC declaration for equipment for food, meat and dairy and fish products
Validity period of EAC declaration under TR CU is determined by the confirmation system. Permit for mass-produced units, mechanisms and machines is issued for a period of up to 5 years. Validity period of the declaration is not set for products or for a single batch or for a single item.
EAC labeling on equipment
Labeling is also a prerequisite for release of food equipment into circulation. It should be applied by the manufacturer or importer. Labeling includes the application of the EAC conformity label, key technical features, manufacturer's information, date of issue and lifetime, and other information for buyers. Conformity of the label, as well as availability of the permits will be checked during customs procedures, inspection activities in retail locations, and when catering services are provided. Administrative sanctions (confiscation, fine) are imposed for violation of said rules.
