No much time left until the new Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union “Requirements to the fire safety and fire fighting means” (TR EAEU 043/2017) come into force. So the manufacturers of the fire extinguishing powders and gases, fire protection means for wooden structures, cable fire protection means, portable fire extinguishers, fire cabinets, etc (see below the whole list of products that fall under TR CU 043/2017) have only 1 month to finalize the certification procedures for their products under the old rules.

The TR CU 043/2017 says that starting from the 1st of January 2020 all new products or the old ones, those approval documents expired, need to pass a new procedure of the Eurasian Economic Union approval. The approval certificate will valid in 5 countries - Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan.

All Fire Safety Certificates that were issued before the 1st of January 2020 can be used for the import of approved products until the expiration date but no longer than the 1st of July 2021.

One more border will disappear soon, but sometimes it means than new challenges will arise for those companies - producers that would like to enter the Eurasian Economic Union market or continue making business here.

First of all, foreign producers of the fire safety and fire fighting means need to find a local representative company on the Territory of the Eurasian Economic Union that will bear responsibility for the product quality and accurate approval procedure. 

The TR EAEU 043/2017 assumes special requirements to the technical documentation of the manufacturer.
