EAC marking requirements for cosmetics

There are special requirements to the marking of such products. You can check them out below.

Labelling for cosmetics should include the following information:
  • product name
  • intended use of a product
  • manufacturer’s name and registered address including country
  • country of origin
  • information (name and address) of the authorized representative in the territory of the Customs Union
  • nominal quantity (volume/weight) in a retail packaging
  • color (for decorative cosmetics and coloring agents)
  • weight content of fluoride (%, or mg / kg, or ppm) for oral hygiene products
  • shelf life
  • production date (month, year) and expiry date
  • storage conditions in case these conditions differ from standard ones;
  • special precautions (if necessary) when using a product
  • serial number or special code to identify the batch
  • information on the methods of using the product, lack of which may lead to an improper usage by the consumer
  • list of ingredients
  • EAC sign
