Israel is one of the fastest-growing markets in automotive-tech. Here safety-systems, electronics, sensors, cameras, EV-parts, and telematics-solutions are rapidly adopted. But to join the official-supplier-chain and work with Israeli-companies, certification of automotive-components is mandatory.

Who regulates the automotive-market in Israel

Control over safety and quality of auto-parts is managed by:
  • Ministry of Transport and Road Safety (MOT) – sets technical and performance-requirements;
  • Standards Institution of Israel (SII) – conducts testing, documentation-review, and certification;
  • when needed – Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Environmental Protection, for fuel, batteries, or emission-related equipment.
These agencies decide which parts can be used in vehicles in Israel and which companies qualify as approved-suppliers.
Which components need certification
All parts affecting safety, energy-efficiency, or ecology must be certified:
  • brake-systems, steering, suspension;
  • electronics – sensors, cameras, displays, ECU-units;
  • EV-batteries and charging-systems;
  • lighting – headlights, signal-lights, LED-systems;
  • cables, connectors, airbags, belts, crash-sensors;
  • software and telematics-modules integrated into vehicles.
If the equipment affects safety or engine-function, it must meet UNECE, ISO, SAE, or IEC standards.
How the certification process works
  1. Application to SII or MOT – technical-drawings, ISO certificates, and test-reports are submitted.
  2. Standard-identification – specialists define applicable international and local-norms.
  3. Testing – mechanical, electrical, vibration, temperature, moisture, and corrosion tests.
  4. Quality-system audit – manufacturer must hold ISO 9001 or ISO/TS 16949 certification.
  5. Issuance of compliance-certificate – after passing all tests, the product enters the approved-components register.

How to join the approved-suppliers list

To become an official-supplier in Israel, a company must:
  • hold valid ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 certificates;
  • get MOT technical-approval and SII certification;
  • confirm component-origin and quality;
  • provide test-reports under global-standards (ECE R10, ECE R13, IEC 62368, ISO 26262);
  • have an authorized-representative in Israel.
After approval, the supplier is listed in the MOT register – gaining rights to sell, bid in tenders, and cooperate with Israeli auto-firms.
Benefits of certification

Certification gives companies:

  • legal-entry to the Israeli-market;
  • participation in public-procurement and fleet-projects;
  • recognition of global-certificates without re-testing;
  • stronger-trust from partners and investors;
  • access to Israeli autotech firms and R&D-centers.

International certificates recognized by Israel

Israel accepts CB Scheme, UNECE E-mark, and EU CE certificates from accredited-labs – cutting local-testing time.
Still, each product undergoes label, instruction, and data-check for full national-compliance.
WorldWideBridge provides full-cycle certification of automotive-components in Israel – fast, precise, and compliant with MOT and SII rules. We handle standard-analysis, document-prep, testing, and registration in the official-supplier-list.
