EAC certification procedure for export to Customs union of PPE products.Personal protective items (PPE) include such clothing as gloves, working suits, overalls, masks, footwear. Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and Certificate of Conformity (CoC).
Footwear protecting from vibration and sliding and masks protecting from electromagnetic fields, footwear protecting from cuts, face masks protecting respiratory organs, suits protecting from high and low temperatures as well as from electrical arc, static electricity.
Personal protective items (PPE) include such clothing as gloves, working suits, overalls, masks, footwear etc.
When the quality of PPE has confirmed it means that the items are safe for application, do not constitute any threat to the working environment and help to avoid any undesirable impact of hazardous industry.
In 2011 the Technical Regulation of the Customs union “On the safety of personal protective equipment” (ТR СU 019/2011) was enacted (currently it is transformed to TR of Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This document stipulates the quality requirements which are to be complied with in order to export and sell PPE in the Customs Union countries such as Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kirgizstan.
The TR СU stipulates main approval forms for Personal Protective items.

The Certificate of Conformity and Declaration of Conformity can be issued for 1 consignment and also for serially produced products. The maximum applied validity is 5 years.
For those products that fall under CoC the production site audit is required additionally in order to check the Quality Management System (QMS) that guarantees the constant quality of the serial production. Here we are handling with all questions related to the initial analysis of the provided technical document, we are applying to the certification body for certification and scheduling the QMS audit, also are carrying all the travel related tasks (visa, accommodation, transfer, translation etc).
In accordance with the Technical Regulations of the Customs union, the manufacturer can apply for certification only through the Customs union residential company. It means that a Russian, Kazakh or other CU country’s company should bear responsibility for the products quality on the base of Local representative agreement. It can be the importer, distributor of the product or any other company located in the CU that will agree to act as a Local Representative.
