IEC develops and publishes International Standards for all Electrical, Electronic and Related Technologies.
The main purpose of the IEC is to promote international cooperation on standartization in the field of electrical engineering, including electronics, magnetism and electromagnetism, electroacoustics, multi-media, remote communications, energy production and distribution, as well as related general disciplines such as terminology and symbols, electromagnetic compatibility, measurement, safety and environmental protection.
The standards, together with IEC’s conformity assessment systems, ensure that the thousands of electrical devices used world-wide every day perform, fit and work safely together.
The IEC comprises 81 national standards bodies from 81 countries, 174 committees in 1,188 working groups, and standards and terms are published in 13 languages.
World Wide Bridge specialists will provide advice on all issues related to IEC certification in order to optimize time and material costs, negotiate with notified laboratories, and ensure that your products are tested. We guide you through every stage of the IEC certification, helping streamline your development processes and bring products to market quicker.
We undertake all types of electrical and electronic equipment safety testing to determine compliance with any existing International Standard, including IT equipment, lighting and components, controls and wiring accessories, electronic components, medical equipment, electrical cables, plus many more electrical and electronic products.
